Shojiro named the company with an English variation of his name (the last name "Ishibashi" translates as "stone-bridge"), and reversed it to "Bridgestone" which is the origin of the world's largest tire and rubber company. Bridgestone has continuously retained its leading position in the business until today with its headquarter located in Tokyo, Japan.

Those are brought into production process which is approved by technical research center and proving grounds for both international standard and superior standard products of Bridgestone, in the attempt to enhance Bridgestone Group in Thailand to be a complete business hub in Asia Pacific region.

Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd. has started from manufacturing; passenger car tires, 4x4 tires, bus tires, light, medium to large truck tires, including tires used in agricultural machinery through tube, rubber and retread tire industries, under the brand "Bridgestone" and "Firestone" for domestic market, leading OEM : Original Equipment Manufacturer and export tire market.
Bridgestone forms its production base in Thailand by establishing two tire plants to serve business growth.
